Reflections of The Analects

In my viewpoint Confucius express many special quotes and messages that can make a change in the world. “A good man does not grieve that other people do not recognize his merits. His only anxiety is lest he should fail to recognize theirs.” That means that some people wait for the last moment to recognize their own good actions. By other side, it is important to mention that the best way to govern some place is by moral force and ritual order. In that way everybody is going to keep their self-respect and obey by their own accord.

It explains that a “good man” can see both sides of life, instead of, a “small man” can just see one side of life, the one that is convenient for him. Is very important to be clearly that every man that wants to govern some place, he has the responsibility to make it the best way he can, using moral techniques and so on. We have to act with responsibility and with good actions in life. That way, people would recognize our effort for making a change in our world.

We have to worry about important things and to give the sufficient importance to everything. Also we have to act for our own merits and not because of what others could think about us. Life is short; we have to take advantage of it.
